Apprentices  

An apprenticeship is a great way to gain hands-on experience whilst you earn and learn.  

Our Apprenticeship scheme offers a variety of career paths. The majority of roles are in Electrical Engineering to support our core business services.  

Here at Correll the apprentices job involves a variety of activities that is associated to the scope of works that is completed on and offshore in the renewable sector. Correll is predominately an Electrical Engineering company, and the apprentices will be involved in completing the following.

  • Support of Termination and Testing of inter-array and export cables
  • Stripping of subsea cables.
  • Completing testing of both High Voltage and Fibre Optical cables.
  • Installing cable containment.
  • Routing both HV and Fibre cable as per pre-engineering drawings.

At the end of the apprenticeship, the student will have completed the Electrical fitter Apprentice programme and a HNC in Electrical Engineering. Potential positions within the business include: HV jointer/Tester, FO Jointer/Tester, Electrical Engineering.  

We also offer opportunities in support functions, for example we have Apprentices studying business studies working within departments like, Finance, Project Management and Logistics and Procurement.   We work closely with our Apprentices, combining hands on experience with release for a college qualification, from regular coaching meetings to working closely with our college partners to ensure a joined-up approach to your training plan.  

Graduates

We are looking for forward-thinking, dynamic graduates with electrical engineering degrees.

From your first day at Correll you will become part of the Engineering team, making an important contribution to the success of the business, having real responsibility.

Each graduate has a tailored personal development plan, with training on skills required for future assignments and long-term career opportunities within Correll Group. We work closely with IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) and encourage our graduates to work with them to understand their route to chartership.

If you would like to join the Correll team as one of our next apprentices or graduates:

  • Graduates expecting a 2:1 degree or higher, should apply between October and January
  • Electrical Fitter Apprentices completing their 2nd Year BTEC in Electrical Engineering should apply between May and June
  • Business Apprentices with GCSE qualifications (Level 2) A*-C or 9 -4 in English and Maths should apply between May and June.
