16th November 2021: German Sector North Sea: The Correll Group, Electrical Engineering Division is delighted to announce that it has been successful in securing a contract with the offshore installation company Asso Subsea for the AC Submarine Cables pull in operations on both the Kaskasi II OWP Offshore Substation and the HVDC Offshore Substation Helwin Beta as part of the AC grid connection system on behalf of the end client TenneT Offshore GmbH.
TenneT Offshore GmbH is the provider of the AC grid connection system to connect the offshore wind park Kaskasi II (approx. 342MW) to the associated HVDC offshore substation with the EPIC main contract being awarded to Zhongtian Technology Submarine Cable Cable Co., Ltd.
Kaskasi II project, a three-phase AC connection is planned to be installed in the North-Sea-Cluster 4 and the three-phase current generated in the Kaskasi II offshore wind farm is to be transported to the HVDC substation HelWin beta via two AC submarine cables.

“This contract compliments our existing award from ZTT Cables, where Correll is contracted to perform platform cable routing, termination & testing’ of 155kV subsea cables associated with the AC grid connection systems, on both Kaskasi II & Gode Wind 3 Offshore Wind Farms”.
