  • AIS Survivex teams up with Correll to offer jobs hope to ex-military

Leading training provider, AIS Survivex is joining forces with electrical cabling specialist, Correll Group to boost the chances of scooping an offshore wind job for former military personnel.

Already a Gold Plus Sponsor of the British Forces Resettlement Service (BFRS), AIS Survivex is committed to supporting ex-forces personnel looking to work in the global energy sector with advice, help and tailored training packages. These tailored training packages provide all the skills necessary to start an energy sector career.

Now AIS Survivex is offering an even bigger helping hand to military heroes after partnering with Correll Group, a global leader in high voltage electrical engineering and installation of onshore and offshore cabling for the wind industry. Correll Group has agreed to provide invaluable interview experience to every delegate attending AIS Survivex’s specialised military training programmes and give them the chance to secure a full-time job in the wind industry.

Sam Dowey, Managing Director at Correll Group, explains: “This year has been fantastic for us. We have secured a number of high-profile contracts in the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA and are on target to double our revenues. As a result, we are recruiting heavily and have dozens of new job opportunities on offer for the right candidates.

“As a business, one of our aims is attracting new, fresh talent into the sector and we know military personnel have a lot of desirable skills to offer. Add the right industry training to those skills with AIS Survivex’s excellent tailored programmes and you have a fantastic pool of job-ready talent.  That’s why we are keen to provide interview experience to each and every ex-forces person completing AIS Survivex training. As well as giving an invaluable insight into the real world of onshore and offshore wind work, we want to offer a limited number of full-time jobs to those candidates who are a good match for us.”

The initiative will begin immediately with first interviews expected to take place mid-July 2022.

Linzi Ryan, Head of Marketing at AIS Survivex, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for any ex-military person looking to work in wind. You’ll get excellent experience and insider info built-in to our exclusive military training programmes to prepare you for your first role in wind – and for the lucky few, you’ll potentially secure yourself a full-time job. It’s a win, win situation.

“To make sure we offer the best quality and personalised service, we have set up a direct line to an exclusive account manager to help military leavers through every stage of their training journey with us. If you are ex-forces, or currently in the resettlement process, and considering your next move we encourage you to get in-touch.”
