Deme – Dogger Bank OWF – January 2023 to Present – Termination & Testing of 66kV inter-array cables

Correll Electrical Engineering has been contracted by Deme Offshore NL B.V. to complete the 66kV inter-array cable (IAC) termination & testing on 95 WTG’s and the offshore substation platform on the first phase of Dogger Bank Wind Farm, including the installation of a Cable Monitoring System.

The offshore wind farm is being constructed in three 1.2GW phases; Dogger Bank A (with 95 wind turbines), Dogger Bank B (with 95 wind turbines), Dogger Bank C (with 87 wind turbines). The 3.6GW project will be the world’s largest offshore wind farm when completed in 2026.

Scope of supply can be summarized as following:

  • 8 x 4 person Termination and testing (excluding VLF) Teams
  • Supporting PM Team
  • 2 x 4 person VLF Teams

Scope of work (but not limited to} the following elements:

  • Pre-term testing as per the ITP.
  • WTG protection.
  • Permanent hang off.
  • Re-install part sections of the containment.
  • Stripping the outer subsea cable.
  • Routing and cleating of the 3 x cores per subsea cable.
  • Routing of the fibre optic cable 1 x 48 core per subsea cable.
  • Installation of the fibre enclosures.
  • Terminations (Pfisterer).
  • Fibre Optic splicing
  • Continuous monitoring system
  • Supplementary earthing.
  • Post termination testing as per the ITP
  • HV VLF TP-to-TP testing
  • Walkdowns
  • Handover completion documentation.
